Join Dr. Brent Upchurch has he discusses the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) with an engaging and informative discussion of the organization’s mission and the pathway to membership.
Dr. Upchurch's presentation will talk about the history of SAR with a central focus of genealogy which is the cornerstone of SAR membership. He will explain how prospective members must trace their lineage back to a patriot who supported the cause of the American Revolution. This process involves meticulous research using historical records such as birth and death certificates, census data, wills, military records, and other archival materials. Dr. Upchurch will discuss the paperwork and application process of becoming a SAR member.
