Join us for a special after hours evening performance featuring some famous Literary Monsters!

Shadow, Sound, Spectacle creates immersive multimedia experiences where puppetry meets live music and technology in a captivating, theatrical, and sometimes whimsical dance. 

Literary Monsters provides a fresh perspective on the works of Edgar Allen Poe, Mary Shelley, Washington Irving, Emily Dickinson, Anne Rice, and others through the marriage of original music by Jess Martin, shadow puppetry by Amy West, and cinematography and special effects by Abby Hanna. 

For teens & adults. Registration required. If you have any questions, please contact Kate at kmcfadden@minlib.net. Thank you to The Friends of Dedham Public Library for generously sponsoring this literary event to kick off National Friends of Libraries Week! 

The Library will be open only for program registrants. The accessible ramp entrance (located adjacent to the Library parking lot on Norfolk Street) will open at 6:45 pm. The performance will begin promptly at 7 pm.

The Main Library is located on Church Street in Dedham Square. In addition to traditional library material, the Main Library also houses town archives, the Dedham Collection.
