Mystery Making

Help the Sisters in Crime authors make a mystery!

Join us for a fun, fast-paced improv event in which Sisters in Crime authors Norman Birnbach, Tilia Klebenov Jacobs, and Tonya D. Price brainstorm on their feet to create a brand new mystery, using suggestions from the audience.

Norman Birnbach will have the book Why Should I Trust You? available to sign and purchase. Cash, Venmo, PayPal, and checks will be accepted for payment.

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs will have the books Why Should I Trust You? and Casper and Jasper and the Terrible Tyrant available to sign and purchase. Cash, credit cards, and checks will be accepted for payment.

Sisters in Crime Authors:

Norman Birnbach writes science fiction, crime, and humor, and often all three at once. He is a co-author of Why Should I Trust You?, a spooky, fast-paced middle-grade adventure about trust, forgiveness, and finding courage when it matters most, and Stealing Time, a time-travel jewelry heist novel named a Nevada Young Readers Award 2026-27 nominee. A native New Yorker, he lives outside Boston with his wife, three children, and dog, Taxi.

Tilia Klebenov Jacobs is the author of two crime novels, a middle-grade fantasy book, and, with Norman Birnbach, two books for kids, including Why Should I Trust You? and the Silver Falchion finalist YA novel, Stealing Time. Tilia is a member of Sisters in Crime, and she is vice president of Mystery Writers of America-New England.

Tonya D. Price’s short stories have been published in almost every genre, but she loves writing US and International historical thrillers, many of which are young adult stories. Her short fiction has appeared in The Best American Mystery Short Stories of 2019, and in Masthead, The Best New England Crime Stories of 2020. She is currently working on Internment, a WWII novel about a sixteen-year-old American boy who loses his friends, home, and freedom when his German father is falsely accused of being a Nazi spy.
