School Supply Swap

Rotunda SpaceDonate your unwanted new or gently used school and office supplies in exchange for others just in time for back-to-school season!
Beginning Monday, 8/24 through Friday, 8/28, drop off supplies to the Main Library downstairs Media Room during our open hours. (No donations will be taken on Saturday, 8/29; please save them for the next time.) If you need assistance bringing your donations downstairs, please stop by the Reference desk for help. Your name will be added to the Early Entry List for the Swap when you make a donation.
• Swappers on the Early Entry List get first pick from 10-10:30 am.
• Doors open to everyone from 10:30 to 11:30 am.
• You do not have to make a donation to attend; if you make a donation, you do not need to participate in the Swap.
• All items are free!
What to Bring:
Of course we can't possibly know all the awesome stuff you may bring in, but if you're wondering what kind of swap this is, let this be your guide:
- Backpacks
- Lunch bags
- Pencils & pens
- Crayons & colored pencils
- Notebooks
- Binders & folders
- Erasers
- Paper
- Highlighters
- Calculators
- Pencil cases
- Computer mouse
What NOT to Bring:
- Clothes
- Holiday items
- Craft supplies (paint, brushes, knitting needles, yarn, etc.)
- Anything old/damaged
- If it cannot be used immediately & without repair please don't bring it!
Items not taken by swappers will be saved for the next swap, donated, recycled, or used for Library workshops.

The Main Library is located on Church Street in Dedham Square. In addition to traditional library material, the Main Library also houses town archives, the Dedham Collection.
