Join us for a one-of-a-kind cultural experience blending art, travel, and storytelling with Mandy Roberge from Wicked Good Henna!
This unique henna/travel/storytelling program will include a storytelling adventure of Mandy's 2023 trip to Morocco to study under the masters there. Includes photo slides, observations and experiences with Moroccan culture and the program concludes with each participant getting a henna design in the Moroccan style. While they wait, participants can try their hand at henna design with a syringe, the traditional henna application method in Morocco.
For adults and teens. Registration required for each attendee. Contact Ari at apappas@minlib.net with any questions.
About Mandy:
Mandy has been working with henna since 2006 and is passionate about the art form. In 2015 Mandy officially started Wicked Good Henna since then she has made a living doing henna at large events -- libraries, festivals and big ole parties. In Spring of 2023, she had the life changing experience of traveling to Morocco to study henna and it changed her style and understanding of henna. She looks forward to traveling to many more places in her lifetime to examine the roots of henna in cultures around the globe. Mandy has 3 beautiful and sassy daughters, a fat black pug, a chorus of cats and a husband she adores most days of the week.
