Join local author, Patricia Barletta as she discusses her book, Entangled with the Earl.

What do you do when the hero you created turns out to be real... and utterly irresistible?

Emma Blake, a best-selling historical romance author, is shocked when the hero from her latest book, Brandon Connaught, appears in her living room, insisting she got his story wrong. To her surprise, she finds herself transported to Regency London, where Brandon is very much alive, stunningly handsome, and exasperating. As Emma navigates this historical world, she realizes she may have the power to change Brandon’s fate. But falling for him could rewrite more than just his ending—it could cost her everything. As passion ignites, they both must fight for survival and a love that defies time.

Entangled with the Earl is the first of three novels in the Rogues Out of Time Series. Find Pat's books at the Dedham Public Library by searching our catalog here

For adults. Registration is required. Please contact Ari at apappas@minlib.net with questions. Light refreshments served courtesy of The Friends of Dedham Public Library.

About Patricia:

Patricia has always wanted to be a writer, a dream that began after realizing she wouldn’t become a fairy ballerina or princess. Writing allowed her to explore different worlds and be anyone she wished, even those fairy tale characters. Her stories often blend romance and history, as she believes one sparks the other. Though she wouldn't want to live in the past without modern comforts, she enjoys dreaming about it, especially with swashbuckling pirates and Regency men in tight buckskin breeches.

A native of the Boston area, its history has shaped her writing and likely influenced her decision to become a high school British Literature teacher to support herself. Over the years, she has held various jobs, including accounts receivable clerk, receptionist, telephone operator, head of an elementary school library, and president of a food pantry. In a previous life, she published three historical romances under the name Amy Christopher. She later earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the Stonecoast program in Maine, where she met talented writers and mentors who helped improve her craft. Now, she writes stories about dark heroes, strong heroines, magic, and happily ever afters.
