Bust Buddies: Join our three-part series to learn about some old library friends: the three busts in our Rotunda! Part of Dedham Reads 2025.
Theodore Parker (1810 -1860) is probably the least recognizable of the busts in our rotunda (it took us years to ID him), but that doesn't mean he's any less special than Shakespeare or John Milton. In fact, you may recognize him as the statue that sits in front of the West Roxbury church that bears his name. Minister, abolitionist, radical, Theodore Parker was all this and more.
Sandi Serkess of the West Roxbury Historical Society will be joining us to dive deeper into a fascinating figure from the 19th century.
For teens and adults. Registration Required. Please email Michaela at mcalderwood@minlib.net with any questions.
