We are deeply honored to present landscape paintings by Marianne Quinn, a longtime Dedham resident.
Marianne was a graduate of Mt. Ida College, where she majored in Fine Arts. After raising her family, Marianne rediscovered her passion for painting and spent many years capturing the beauty of nature on canvas. Her paintings of serene scenes illuminated with vibrant colors were a source of personal happiness and were shared only with her family and close friends. Despite receiving numerous requests to showcase her art, Marianne chose to keep her artwork private. Her paintings reflect her love for nature and the beach, her happy places.
Marianne Quinn passed away on December 6, 2024, after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. In her memory and to celebrate her artistic legacy, we are displaying her paintings at the Dedham Public Library until April 4. This exhibition is a tribute to Marianne’s life and her remarkable ability to capture the beauty of landscapes she loved with paint.
We hope that through this exhibition, Marianne’s art will continue to bring joy to all who view it. You are invited to follow @Mimis_Masterpieces on Instagram to learn of additional exhibitions and see photos of her art.
