Senior Center Book Group

Senior Center Book Group is for those age 55+ looking to connect with a community of local readers who respectfully discuss a diverse range of fiction and nonfiction. We welcome new members!

This book group meets at the Ames Senior Center (450 Washington St) on the third Friday of the month at 12 pm. Books are available for checkout after every discussion, and at the Main Library and Endicott Branch Library beginning one month before each meeting. (Check out the Book Groups web page for an abbreviated list of our past reads!)

We will discuss the following titles:

  • Starting at 11 am, join us to watch a recorded virtual author talk with Shelby Van Pelt in the Ames Senior Center Community Room.
• May 16: Rough Sleepers by Tracy Kidder
• June 20: A Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline
